Somehow it’s already Friday & I’m still dreaming of this sleepy surf town ☀️ My favorite part of our trips to CR is the change of pace. We are up with the sun every morning (before 6!) but the mornings move so slow and I love it so much. I soaked it all in while we were there and am trying to implement a little more of that slowed pace in my normal days. Definitely easier said than done...do you guys have any tricks for remembering to slow down a little each day?

Happy Friday!! I’m looking forward to a weekend at home getting caught up on personal to-do lists and prepping for an upcoming trip! This bedroom is a great example of how you can get a fresh look in a space without buying all new everything. This headboard + rug were existing and the nightstands got a huge makeover by removing decorative moulding and a fresh coat of paint. With just some new bedding + lighting + drapery, it feels so updated and inviting. You don’t have to start from scratch to create a beautiful space!!

I thought I’d do a mini #fridayintroductions and tell you what my number one source of inspiration is. Traveling! Exploring new cities & revisiting favorites fills me up with so much happiness that I typically return home bursting with new ideas. For someone who works from home, it’s so important to force myself out of my little bubble and my comfort zone to create a fresh perspective from time to time. Our next trip is coming up in just a few weeks and I am READY for that burst of creativity that will follow. What about you? What is your greatest source of inspiration?!

I’ve noticed such a huge difference in inspiration, motivation & productivity as I’ve started making changes to my workspace. That lamp right there may be my new favorite accessory in the whole house. It makes me smile almost as much as the desktop organization and the handmade pottery that holds my pens. It’s crazy how these little, seemingly insignificant items can change your mood and then inadvertently your life. I truly believe this with my whole heart, and it’s why I do what I do every day. When you surround yourself with little moments of joy, where you work or where you live, you create a more joyful life. •

Next up on my office to-do list is to add a succulent to that empty planter and to create an intentional vision board. Oh and lots of additional storage for the piles of things behind this image! •

Handmade pottery is hands down my favorite home accessory. Each piece is so versatile- creating a beautiful piece of storage, a vessel for flowers + plants, or just on its own as a decorative object. I’ve slowly started collecting pieces, usually picking them up during our travels....and now I’m curious about what goes into the process of creating them. Does anyone know of a pottery studio in the San Antonio area...I’d love to take a class (and fill my entire house with alllll the pottery) ✨

My favorite kitchen decor is pretty AND functional....when you can find every day items that are also beautiful, it instantly elevates your space. For the past year I’ve worked side by side with @youngerhomes to design an oasis tucked away in the Texas hills. This master bath is part of that oasis, and it feels like just that, a peaceful place to escape the craziness of every day life. Two amazing things happened today. I found a caffeine free tea that tastes JUST like coffee (seriously, I may even like it better) + I stumbled upon the new @dominomag issue while making a quick Target run (jk-quick Target runs don’t exist in my world-I must make a lap around the ENTIRE store every. single. time.) •
